Approach
to Ministry
"I
want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection
and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings,
becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow
to attain to the resurrection from the dead"
(Philippians 3:10-11).
Purpose
We
exist to glorify God by knowing Him intimately,
valuing Him uniquely and loving Him completely.
Vision
As
fully devoted children of Christ the King, at Trinity
Community Church, we envision passionately worshipping
God in all His glory and making, maturing and mobilizing
disciples until the Body of Christ is complete in

our
vision of what could be!

Core
Values
-
We
embrace God-focused Worship.
Private and Public worship, especially Sunday
morning, is our number one priority. Everything
we do flows out of a heart of worship that is
focused upon God. (Isaiah 6:1-4; John 4:24; Revelation
4)
-
We
embrace the Means of Grace.
The way God uses to express special grace to His
people is through prayer and His Word, which is
the written Word, the preached Word and the visible
Word (the sacrament of communion). (Hebrews 4:16;
1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Timothy 4:2; 1 Corinthians
11:23-32)
-
We embrace Christian Unity.
In essentials, unity. In non-essentials,
liberty. In all things charity. In a world
of dissention we desire to stand together unified
in Christ that all may see and glorify the Father
in heaven. (Psalm 133; John 13:35; Philippians
4:3-6)
-
We
embrace Community Relationships.
Real, significant, edifying relationships are
critical to our growth in Christ. These relationships
are especially effective through the connection
of small groups. (Colossians 3:15-17; Hebrews
10:24-25)
-
We embrace Sacrificial Service.
Service to the Father and others was at the heart
of Christs mission. Therefore, it is at
the heart of ours. Every member of the Body of
Christ has gifts intended for service. Discovering,
developing and exercising our gifts is our calling.
(Matthew 5:41; Philippians 2:5-11)
-
We embrace Purposeful Mentoring.
Every believer is responsible for passing
to others the knowledge, skills and opportunities
for service that God has entrusted in them. (Ephesians
4:11-16)
-
We embrace Ministry Excellence.
The standard for excellence is found in the
character of God. Therefore, we will strive for
excellence in all that we do. (Philippians 4:8-9;
Colossians 3:23)
-
We
embrace Authentic Reform.
The message of truth never changes but our
understanding and methods of living the truth
must be Semper Reformanda (always reforming).
(1Corinthians 9:19-23; Galatians 1:6-9)
-
We embrace Responsible Stewardship.
Since God is the giver of all things, we must
responsibly use our resources for His glory. (Matthew
6:19-24; 25:14-30)
-
We embrace Risk Taking.
The very definition of risk is faith. Our
faith is in the most secure investment possible,
Christ Jesus our Lord. We live and make decisions
by faith and not by sight. (Ruth 3; Hebrews 11)
Soli Deo Gloria
For the glory of God alone!
