Approach to Ministry

"I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow to attain to the resurrection from the dead" (Philippians 3:10-11).

Purpose
We exist to glorify God by knowing Him intimately, valuing Him uniquely and loving Him completely.

Vision
As fully devoted children of Christ the King, at Trinity Community Church, we envision passionately worshipping God in all His glory and making, maturing and mobilizing disciples until the Body of Christ is complete in Pasco County, the state of Florida, the United States of America and the whole world. This is our dream…our vision of what could be!

Strategy
Passionate Worship:

  • Worship services that reach the whole man (mind, heart and will) with the gospel.
  • Culturally relevant services for all ages, including children’s worship.
  • Facilitating an environment for approaching God, hearing from Him, responding to Him and being sent by Him to accomplish our purpose.
  • Providing Biblical preaching/teaching, prayer and the arts.

Making Disciples:

  • Worship services that answer the questions of life with the gospel of salvation.
  • Praying specifically for those in need of grace.
  • Building redeeming relationships as a way of sharing Christ.
  • Community outreaches (meeting physical needs).
  • Missions, both local and global
  • Church planting

Maturing Disciples:

  • Worship services that promote Christian growth.
  • Personal discipleship.
  • Small Groups.
  • Christian library and resource center.
  • Training Center/Seminary for ministry and church leaders, church planters and any interested in further training.
  • Church Planting.

Mobilizing Disciples:

  • Discovering the gifts and passions of every believer.
  • Providing opportunities for service.
  • Ministry Groups such as worship team, teaching, outreach and service ministries.
  • Short term missions.
  • Financially supporting our own in ministries locally and globally.
  • Church Planting.

Core Values

  1. We embrace God-focused Worship.
Private and Public worship, especially Sunday morning, is our number one priority. Everything we do flows out of a heart of worship that is focused upon God. (Isaiah 6:1-4; John 4:24; Revelation 4)
  2. We embrace the Means of Grace.
The way God uses to express special grace to His people is through prayer and His Word, which is the written Word, the preached Word and the visible Word (the sacrament of communion). (Hebrews 4:16; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Timothy 4:2; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
  3. We embrace Christian Unity.
“In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things charity.” In a world of dissention we desire to stand together unified in Christ that all may see and glorify the Father in heaven. (Psalm 133; John 13:35; Philippians 4:3-6)
  4. We embrace Community Relationships.
Real, significant, edifying relationships are critical to our growth in Christ. These relationships are especially effective through the connection of small groups. (Colossians 3:15-17; Hebrews 10:24-25)
  5. We embrace Sacrificial Service.
Service to the Father and others was at the heart of Christ’s mission. Therefore, it is at the heart of ours. Every member of the Body of Christ has gifts intended for service. Discovering, developing and exercising our gifts is our calling. (Matthew 5:41; Philippians 2:5-11)
  6. We embrace Purposeful Mentoring.
Every believer is responsible for passing to others the knowledge, skills and opportunities for service that God has entrusted in them. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
  7. We embrace Ministry Excellence.
The standard for excellence is found in the character of God. Therefore, we will strive for excellence in all that we do. (Philippians 4:8-9; Colossians 3:23)
  8. We embrace Authentic Reform.
The message of truth never changes but our understanding and methods of living the truth must be Semper Reformanda (always reforming). (1Corinthians 9:19-23; Galatians 1:6-9)
  9. We embrace Responsible Stewardship.
Since God is the giver of all things, we must responsibly use our resources for His glory. (Matthew 6:19-24; 25:14-30)
  10. We embrace Risk Taking.
The very definition of risk is faith. Our faith is in the most secure investment possible, Christ Jesus our Lord. We live and make decisions by faith and not by sight. (Ruth 3; Hebrews 11)
